Joseph Day President

Joseph Day has over 20+ years of experience architecting and building data warehouse and analytics solutions for the healthcare, finance and telecommunications industries. He develops comprehensive solutions that include data automation, real time data integrity verification and complex analytics processes for very large and highly transactional data sets. In addition, Mr. Day architects and manages web and client/server application development projects and architects the supporting infrastructure. He has extensive experience developing and implementing data backup and security processes that satisfy the strict requirements governing the use of healthcare and financial data.

Joe has been developing sophisticated mathematical and statistical models in the healthcare and finance industries since 1995. Joe develops comprehensive statistical models to measure the effects of disease treatment on healthcare costs, productivity and safety. Joe built predictive tools based on value driver models to explain economic profit and empirically link competitive advantage periods to company specific fundamental factors. These predictive tools included access to powerful valuation databases, custom reports, screening tools, and qualitative and quantitative reports.

Joe is certified in HIPPA for Business Associaties, and HIPPA Security.

Joe holds holds Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from The University of Chicago, and a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his time at UIC he published in the International Journal of Heat and Fluid Flow, “Internal Droplet Circulation Induced by Surface-Driven Rotation”.

Tien Bui Project Management

Tien Bui joined GIS in 2003. She has 20+ years experience working on data warehouse health care, finance and telecommunications projects. Her responsibilities include requirements analysis, database design, optimization, stored procedures development, and project management.

Tien holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Computer Science from HCMC University of Science and Microsoft Professional Certifications as both a Database Administrator and Database Developer. Prior to coming to the United States Tien also was an Adjunct Professor at HCMC University teaching C++, VB, and VB.Net. Tien is certified in HIPPA for Business Associaties, and HIPPA Security.

Prior to joining the GIS team Tien through worked with Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) developing and editing and printing module for their Nortel telecom control systems.

Dieu Tang Senior Developer / Office Head

Dieu Tang joined the GIS team in 2003 building an equity research application for a Chicago area hedge fund. In the course of this ten year project he helped develop screening, optimization, and backtesting applications. Additionally, he has spent an extensive amount of time working with Portia eReports, as well as main stream reporting tools such as Reporting Services and Crystal Reports.

Dieu holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelors Degree in English Language from HCMC University of Science.

Prior to joining GIS Dieu worked at TMA performing systems development on Nortel Optivity Telephony Manager (OTM).

In his free time he enjoys music, and traveling with his family.

Vien Truong Senior Developer

Vien Truong joined the GIS team in 2005. He works along side the developers, system, database administrators and designers database.

Vien holds a Bachelors Degree in both Computer Science and English from HCMC University of Science.

Prior to joining GIS Vien worked at the Center for Science and Technology Information, Department of Science and Technology of HCM City (CESTI) Designing and Coding Web applications with ASP “Customer Management” for CESTI. Analyzing and management databases on MS SQL Server.

In his free time he enjoys the great outdoors, music and Commenting on the subject QigongRememo.

Hanh Nguyen Senior Developer

Hanh Nguyen joined the GIS team in 2007. She has 20+ years experience working on .NET and Web application projects.
Hanh holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Hung Vuong University.
Prior to joining GIS Hanh worked at VN Team.

In her free time she enjoys watching football, reading and visiting with friends.

Nguyen Bui Senior Developer

Nguyen Bui was one of the company’s first team members, joining GIS in 2004. He has 11 years experience working on .NET Framework, HTML and SQL Server.

Nguyen holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from HCMC University of Science and Microsoft Certified Solution Developer for Microsoft .NET (MCSD .NET).

Prior to joining the GIS team Nguyen through worked at Infotel developing human resources management modules for Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers.

In the free time he enjoys music, playing video games and travelling with family.

Hoa Nguyen Senior Developer

Hoa Nguyen joined the GIS team in 2008 building an equity research application for a Chicago area hedge fund with new version on language programming VB.Net and she helped develop trading module applications. Additionally, she has spent an extensive amount of time working with some project such as: ZLCM: eReports, RISE: PBC and Rise: AMEX application and report.

Hoa holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from University of Information Technology and a degreee in Financial Accounting from the University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City

Prior to joining GIS, Hoa worked as a programmer with FPT building accounting applications.

In her free time she enjoys shopping, cooking, and playing with her son.
